Early Friday morning, Texas authorities issued a Blue Alert, launching a statewide manhunt for Seth Altman, 33, who is suspected of injuring a police officer. Altman was last spotted in Memphis, Texas, about 80 miles south of Amarillo, and is wanted in connection with the attack.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Altman is "wanted for the involvement in the killing or serious injury of a law enforcement officer."
